Boating Safety Course completion is Now Law In New Jersey for Everyone!
There is approximately 8 hours of classroom instruction, including the test, to qualify for the New Jersey State Boating Certificate. "About Boating Safely," is furnished by The U.S. CoastGuard Auxiliary. All courses require pre-registration and this course fee is $60 per person (to cover books, hall rental, etc.).
Registration may be linited depending on class size so students are encouraged to sign up as early as possible. to secure a seat. Once you have enrolled iin a course the "About Boating Safely Course" text book and related study material will be mailed to you prior to the first class meeting, or it will be available to you upon you arrival. The great news is that this course qualifies all students who successfully pass the exam to receive the State of New Jersey Boating Safety Certificate and also satisfies all requirements for the New Jersey State Personal Water Craft “PWC” regulations. Now, get out and ride!

Upon successfully completing the boating class, a temporary certificate of completion for Motorboat/PWC operations will be awarded. You must carry your certificate of completion with you when operating a motor vessel on the water's of New Jersey and within 12 miles of the coastline.
